Obtaining Your USGA Handicap Index
The purpose of the USGA Handicap System is to make the game of golf more enjoyable by enabling players of differing abilities to compete on an equitable basis. All members of the EWGA Palm Beach County Chapter have the opportunity to obtain an official USGA Handicap Index through the EWGA Golf Life Management System (GLMS).
The Chapter encourages every member who is playing well enough to keep score to obtain a Handicap Index through the EWGA GLMS.
Powered by Golf Intelligence, the GLMS is a full featured system that enables all members to obtain an official USGA handicap.

And best of all, it’s free to all EWGA members!
Activate your GLMS account by going to the Association website, www.ewga.com, select the Golf Life Management link in the left hand menu and follow the instructions for activation.
Don’t forget: Two basic premises underlie the USGA Handicap System, namely that each player will try to make the best score at every hole in every round, regardless of where the round is played, and that the player will post every acceptable round for peer review.
