2011 Volunteer STAR Recognition Program

           

In 2011, our theme is UNITY and we need you to get involved! With almost 200 members, if each member volunteered to help just once, we would have a much more successful chapter, run by many, not just a few.

This program was developed to make volunteering fun, allow members to mix and mingle, and to provide a social event at the end of the year for all volunteers.

The Challenge: Accumulate points by being a Chapter Volunteer!

The Reward: Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 superstars, top 10 shining stars and other stars based on points accumulated from January 1, 2011 through September 30, 2011.

The Real Reward: Volunteer just once and be invited to Volunteer Recognition Extravaganza at a private home on November 5, 2011 where winners will be announced. Event will be catered, refreshments provided and its free for all volunteers.

How it Works: Points will be assigned to volunteer positions throughout the year. Members will be notified in advance of point values for volunteer opportunities to give ample time for participation. For example, chair a golf event and win 150 points, run a social event and get 75 points, participate on a board committee and earn 100 points. Accumulated points for each volunteer will be posted periodically on the website and weekly update.
